Marketing automation isn’t a new concept. In order to survive in any noisy marketing space, you will need to adopt new technologies that allow you to work smarter, not harder!

The prevalence of marketing automation in 2021 will be widespread. Even further, personalized marketing automation based on a prospects' interests or actions will continue to be more successful and cost-effective than trying to reach a general audience with a generic message.

According to Salesforce, 67% of marketing leaders already rely on marketing automation, and 21% will use it in 2021.

It just makes sense. Wasting valuable time doing what computers can do for us is so 2018.

Marketing automation helps your business convert more leads by automatically nurturing campaigns and tracking your results. Marketing Automation will continue to develop and help businesses through 2012 and beyond.

Videos will be Dominate

It’s no secret that video content is the most engaging form of content on social media and will soon dominate almost every platform. Whether it is short-form TikTok videos, Instagram Stories, Facebook Stories, or long-form content on Instagram TV or YouTube… videos are undeniably the future of social media content.

According to a Cisco study, by 2022, 82% of all online content will be dominated by video content.

Augmented Reality Gains Popularity

Augmented reality enhances marketing efforts by adding digital elements to our reality to change the way things look. For example, Instagram uses augmented reality for its trendy photo filters. Those cute filters that can add makeup to your face, make you a cat, or give you bunny ears? That’s an application of augmented reality for social media.

Even though Augmented Reality practically started on Instagram and Snapchat, brands have adopted it’s popularity and use it to provide better shopping experiences to their customers. For example, have you seen Amazon’s “View in room” feature.

Influencer Marketing Continues to Soar

Influencers can help marketers achieve a variety of marketing goals with Influencers such as gaining leads, raising awareness, and generating sales. Businesses that use Influencer Marketing are now working with a whole network of small, relevant, niche influencers. Influencers are people on social media that already have an organic, engaged following.

Micro-influencers; influencers with less followers (typically 1,000 - 4,000 followers) can get much higher engagement while being much more cost effective. As time goes on, more and more businesses will use this micro and macro Influencer Marketing to work with multiple smaller influencers rather than a single celebrity.

Customer Service and Social Media Merge

Social media continues to evolve into much more than just a platform for selfies and food pictures. Social media is a retail platform, a tool for product discovery, and now, a customer service channel. Many brands now recognize social media platforms as valid and useful for delivering customer service.
